This year, Berliner Seilfabrik, Germany's largest playground equipment manufacturer, is celebrating three special anniversaries: 160 years of company history, paired with 70 years of rope play equipment and 30 years as a family-run company. Three impressive milestones that bear witness not only to experience and innovative strength, but also to a deep-rooted passion for what Berliner Seilfabrik has been doing for generations: creating play spaces that make hearts beat faster.

To mark the occasion, the medium-sized company has designed a new anniversary logo. The festive golden lettering “Berliner” in combination with the inspiring claim “160 Years of Ideas” stands for consistency, creativity and the technical edge that makes the play equipment so unique.

The anniversary year will be accompanied by numerous special campaigns and events. A big anniversary gala in May and a creative social media campaign invite you to look back together, celebrate and take a look into the future.

Since its foundation in 1865, Berliner Seilfabrik has been an integral part of Berlin's economy and a symbol of quality and innovation. Originally started as a rope production facility for the Berlin elevator industry, the company has developed into a leading global manufacturer of playground equipment under the management of the Köhler family since 1995.

“Today, our playground equipment can be found in 68 countries around the world - places where children can let their imaginations run wild and move around safely,” says Karl Köhler, Berliner Seilfabrik. Despite this global success and a subsidiary in the USA, Berliner Seilfabrik remains deeply rooted in the Berlin-Reinickendorf region and is proud of its values as an owner-managed family business.

The motto “Playground equipment for life” stands for quality, durability and sustainable production. For decades, the Berlin-based company has been setting standards in the manufacture of play equipment and developing creative and individual play concepts with high play value that encourage children, young people and adults to get more exercise. Numerous domestic and foreign patents make large parts of the program inimitable and prove the technical lead.

Today, Berliner Seilfabrik is not just a manufacturer, but a full-service provider: “We support our customers with comprehensive services from initial planning to installation and throughout the entire service life of the play equipment.”, David Köhler, Berliner Seilfabrik.

“We are proud and grateful for what Berliner Seilfabrik is today: a company that makes children's laughter, movement and joy possible worldwide with passion, innovation and a dedicated team. 160 years of company history are a moment for us to pause, say thank you and look ahead with confidence - full of ideas and enthusiasm for what is to come”, Julia Köhler, Berliner Seilfabrik.
